MyLocalBuddy ("the App") is a stateless multilingual speech translation service operated by Vish Katragadda. This policy explains what data the App processes and how it is handled.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. There are no user accounts, logins, or registration requirements. No conversation history, audio recordings, or transcripts are retained after your session ends.
When you speak, your audio is streamed in real time to Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services (Speech) for speech-to-text transcription and language detection. The resulting text is then sent to Microsoft Azure Translator for translation. Neither service receives your name, email, or any other identifying information alongside the audio. Refer to Microsoft's privacy policy at privacy.microsoft.com for details on how Azure processes this data.
The App requests microphone access solely to capture speech for translation. Audio is processed in real time and is not saved to your device or any server.
The App does not use any analytics, advertising networks, or third-party tracking SDKs.
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for all ages.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
